MERRY CHRISTMAS
December 14, 2020    Happy holiday month!  We've been using our rider helmet Santa hats as well as our horse 's Santa hats.  Everyone looks so festive!
November 3, 2020    HELLO!  Happy November.  November is a favorite month of mine because I celebrate my birthday about 1/2 way through.  On top of that, in our Hunter/Jumper world, we call November 'NO Stirrup November', which means my riders must go without stirrups for part (or all) of their lessons.  Great leg muscle building!  Helps everyone get a strong, stable leg on them.  I don't appreciate the cold that November brings though.  Feeding breakfast to the horses when it is 33 degrees out, it is not nearly as fun as feeding breakfast in shorts on a 70 degree morning.  I miss the warmth!
October 9, 2020
Hi everyone!  I somehow skipped September on here.  OOPS!
No complaints on my end, barn life has been great.  All the horses and students have been progressing really well and also having fun while doing so.
Happy October everyone!

Hello, hello, hello!  Welcome to our website if this is your first time here, and if you are a repeat visitor, welcome back.  Glad you guys are keeping up with us.  It's been another great month since I last posted anything, lots of hot sunny weather mixed with rainy stormy days.  Basically, our normal summer weather.  Horses and riders are all doing great.  Lessons are still happening, we're just minimizing our surfaces that are being touched and keeping our social distance.  Enjoy your day!
JULY 19, 2020
Yes, you would have assumed with this virus going around that I would have kept the website updated a whole lot better.  OOPS!  Looks like it's been 4 months since I have remembered.
We haven't slowed down in these past 4 months, we were able to make some virus safety changes and kept the lesson program running strong.    The spring was great with wonderful weather, and now we moved into the unbearable hotness of summer.  The heat index on the outside arena thermometer was 105 a couple of hours ago, with the barn following close behind with a heat index of 103.  We haven't stopped riding though, we've just moved to morning lessons ending by 11:00 or earlier.
Since I last edited, we've had quite a few birthdays.  Winnie turned 13, Batman turned 11, Westley turned 23, Fly turned 33, Wendy turned 26, Thunder turned 12, Ben turned 28, Hunter turned 5, and Bobby cat had a birthday.  Elite will be celebrating her 11th birthday in another couple of weeks.
Have a great day and hopefully future updates will become more frequent.

Happy 'Would be' Birthday to Magnum in heaven.  If he was still here on earth, today he would be celebrating his 41st birthday.   He is the reason for Making Strides Equestrian to be in existence, so he will always be mentioned.
And......so far.....March has not disappointed.  SUNSHINE yesterday and today and we're warming up to around 60 degrees.  Looks like 70 degrees moves in Wed, Thurs, and Fri.  I LOVE March!

MARCH 4, 2020

HAPPY MARCH!  March is one of my favorite months!!!!!!!!

And yes, I did skip the month of February.  My awesome grass arena was not a fan of February's floods, so I think we only had 4 good riding days for the whole month.  I'm sure it was a good mental break for the horses, but I missed seeing all of my students, and of course I missed being in the saddle.  Here's hoping my favorite month brings us many more riding days!
JANUARY 2020
HI!!!!  Welcome to 2020.  Thank you for stopping at our website and learning about us.
JANUARY 10, 2020
I finally updated a lot of the website.  I re-wrote some stuff and I'm adding photos.  YAY!

January 14, 2020
Another rather wet day, so I took a little time and updated the site even more.  Mostly adding photos under the students tab, years 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019.  Enjoy!
